Joel Maysonet is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in governance, risk management, and compliance across the financial services and technology sectors. Currently serving in a key role at Evertec since May 2021, Joel oversees global IS governance, risk management, compliance, vulnerability management, and data security governance. Prior to Evertec, Joel held significant positions at Santander Consumer USA, where responsibilities included leading the information risk management team, and at BankUnited as Vice President of Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance. With a solid educational background, including a Master's in Cybersecurity Strategy and Information Management from The George Washington University and an MBA in Management Information Systems, Joel is well-versed in developing strategic frameworks to identify and mitigate risks, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
