Michal Pechoucek is a prominent figure in the field of artificial intelligence, serving as a Venture Partner at Evolution Equity Partners since March 2017. As the Founder and Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center at Czech Technical University in Prague, which has been operational since May 2000, Michal has significantly contributed to academic advancements in AI. In addition to holding the positions of AI Professor and Chair of the Computer Science Department at Czech Technical University in Prague since 2009, Michal is actively involved as an Angel Investor with several companies including Resistant AI, Safe Intelligence, and EquiLibre Technologies. Furthermore, Michal co-founded prg.ai and Blindspot Solutions, and held the role of Chief Technology Officer at both Gen™ and Avast until May 2024. Academic credentials include an MSC in IT: Knowledge Based Systems from The University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence & Biocybernetics from Czech Technical University in Prague.
