Dr. Goetz Baumgarten has a comprehensive work experience in the field of membranes and business management. Dr. Goetz started their career in 1997 as a Project Manager for Membrane Systems at Amafilter Deutschland GmbH. In 2001, they joined Amafilter as a Product Manager for Membrane Systems. Dr. Goetz then moved to Degussa/Evonik in 2005, where they became the Head of the Membrane Technology Group within the Process Technology & Engineering department. In 2010, they took on the role of Director of Business Management for SEPURAN® at Evonik. Dr. Goetz later became the Director of Membranes in 2015, responsible for the P&L of the membrane business at Evonik. Dr. Baumgarten's most recent role was as the Vice President of Membranes at Evonik Operations GmbH, where they were responsible for the company's Innovation Growth Field Membranes and the membrane business.

Dr. Goetz Baumgarten holds a Dipl-Chem. and Dr.-Ing. degree in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, specializing in Waste Management and Water Technology, from Leibniz Universität Hannover.
