Dr. Robert Urlichs has had a diverse range of work experience. Dr. Robert has worked at Evonik since 2014, holding various roles including Senior Vice President of Accounting & Financial Processes, Senior Vice President of Business Line Technical Services, and Vice President of Indirect Procurement. Prior to joining Evonik, Dr. Urlichs worked at Evonik Industries AG as the Head of Strategic Procurement from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Robert also has experience at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal, where they specialized in industries such as High Tech, Mechanical and Plant Engineering, Energy, and Chemicals, focusing on operations, procurement, supply chain, and strategy. Additionally, they were a Managing Partner at Management for Future GmbH and worked as an independent consultant. Dr. Urlichs gained early internship experience at Procter & Gamble, Bayerische Landesbank, and GEC Alstom.
Dr. Robert Urlichs earned their Diplom in Wirtschaftsingenieur/Maschinenbau from Technische Universität Darmstadt, which they completed between 1995 and 2001. In 1998 and 1999, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where they studied Production Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Business Strategy. From 2003 to 2004, Dr. Urlichs obtained their Dr. rer. pol degree from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht.
