Gerd-Friedrich Thyssen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Gerd-Friedrich started their career at BP as a Trainee and later became a Procurement Manager, responsible for managing contracts, suppliers, and tenders. Gerd-Friedrich also led a key project focused on the European Standardization of shop equipment for BP gas stations. In 2008, they joined HRA Pharma, where they took on various roles, including Financial Controller, Commercial Finance & Supply Manager, and Head of Finance & Supply DACH & BeNeLux. In these positions, they were responsible for financial management, budgeting, forecasting, sales monitoring, 3PL management, and S&OP processes. Gerd-Friedrich also played a key role in affiliate founding and integration projects. Gerd-Friedrich is currently working at Evonik as the Head of Strategy @ Supply Chain Excellence.
Gerd-Friedrich Thyssen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management, which they obtained in 2012. Prior to that, in 2009, they briefly attended Pfeiffer University for their MBA studies. Gerd-Friedrich also completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree at Avans University of Applied Sciences from 2007 to 2008. In 2004, Gerd-Friedrich Thyssen acquired a Diplom Kaufmann (FH) degree from FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management.
