Dongil Kim

Dongil Kim is currently serving as the Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Data Science, Department Chair of Data Science, and an Associate Professor at Ewha Womans University since March 2023. Prior to this, Dongil Kim was an Assistant Professor at Chungnam National University from March 2018 to February 2023, focusing on data science research. Dongil Kim's professional experience also includes positions as a Senior Researcher at the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, specializing in machine learning and data mining from April 2015 to February 2018, and as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Electronics, where machine learning and data mining were key responsibilities from March 2013 to March 2015. Dongil Kim earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis on Data Mining and Machine Learning from Seoul National University, where the studies took place from 2005 to 2013, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Industrial Engineering from the same institution from 2001 to 2005.
