Diego Javier Recupero is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a 5th engineer at Excelerate Energy since September 2022. With a solid background in engineering roles, Diego has held the position of Chief Engineer at Siem Offshore from January 2017 to the present and has served as Second Engineer at both Shearwater GeoServices (November 2019 - 2020) and BGP (February 2019 - September 2019). Additionally, Diego was Jefe de Maquinas at DOF Management AS in early 2016, a Maquinista Naval Superior at Brings Austral in 2014, and worked as a First Engineer at Solstad Offshore ASA for a brief period in 2013. Diego holds a degree in Maquinista Naval Superior from Escuela Nacional de Nautica, completed between 1997 and 2000.
