James Lim

James Lim has a diverse range of experience in sales, marketing, and engineering roles. James started their career as an Infantry Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces before transitioning to the engineering field as an Engineer Trainee at Pepperl+Fuchs. James then worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Molex, where they focused on designing interconnect solutions.

After that, they joined Qioptiq Singapore Pte Ltd as a Business Development Manager, responsible for driving expansion in the medical, instrumentation, and microdisplay projection industries. James later became the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at SCHOTT, where they led a team of direct sales and functional reports and demonstrated strong executive leadership.

James then returned to Qioptiq as the Sales & Marketing Director and later served as the VP of Sales Asia, Commercial. In these roles, they oversaw sales and marketing functions and played a key role in driving the company's expansion in the high-end medical, life science, and semiconductor industries in Asia.

James also held the position of Global Head of Sales & Marketing at EIS Optics, leading the global sales and marketing function and achieving planned sales. Most recently, they worked as the Vice President of Sales - Commercial at Excelitas Technologies Corp., overseeing commercial sales in the Asia Pacific region.

Throughout their career, James Lim has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a focus on achieving profitable growth.

James Lim completed their education with a GCE "A" Level in Science from Jurong Junior College in 1989. James then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanicals from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, graduating in 1996. Later, they acquired a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Hull between 1998 and 2000, specializing in Business Administration.
