Snehal Dilip Karpe

Snehal Dilip Karpe, Ph.D., currently serves as a Scientific Manager at Excelra since February 2023. Prior to this role, Snehal was a Postdoctoral Fellow - Bioinformatician at GIGA, ULiège and Institut Jules Bordet, ULB from April 2019 to November 2022, focusing on HTLV-1 and BLV genomics under the guidance of Dr. Anne Van den Broeke. Snehal's earlier experience includes serving as a Bridging Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Centre for Biological Sciences from August 2012 to January 2019, where development of the insectOR web server for gene prediction was a key project. Snehal completed a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Biotechnology at the National Centre for Biological Sciences in 2018, following a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of Pune and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Fergusson College.
