Amanda Xu, CPA, CMA

Amanda Xu, CPA, CMA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Amanda currently holds the position of Corporate Financial Controller at Exchange Solutions since June 2023. Previously, they worked as a Bookkeeper (Part-time) at Urban Mode from June 2017 to the present. From June 2021 to June 2023, Amanda served as a Finance Manager at Notch. Before that, they were a Finance and Revenue Operations Manager at Influitive from September 2020 to May 2021. Amanda also worked at AudienceView as a Manager of Financial Operations from March 2020 to September 2020 and as a Senior General Accountant from October 2019 to February 2020. In their role as a Senior Accountant at Real Fruit Bubble Tea, they worked from January 2019 to August 2019. From September 2013 to December 2018, they held the position of Chief Accountant & Financial Analyst at Sonnet Labs Inc. Additionally, they gained experience as an Accountant and Administration Assistant at York Consulting Inc. from December 2015 to December 2016. Amanda started their career as a Staff Accountant at Herman and Brates Group Chartered Accountants from June 2012 to August 2013, and also worked as a Staff Accountant (Co-op Student) at Ross, Pope & Company LLP Chartered Accountants from January 2012 to April 2012.

Amanda Xu, CPA, CMA completed their education in various institutions over the years. From 2006 to 2010, they attended Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) with a focus on International Finance. In 2008, they had the opportunity to study abroad as an exchange student at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they specialized in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. Later, from 2010 to 2012, Amanda pursued their Master of Management & Professional Accounting (MMPA) at the University of Toronto, focusing on Accounting and Finance.

In addition to their formal education, Amanda Xu obtained the CPA, CMA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) in October 2015. These qualifications and their educational background have shaped their expertise in accounting and finance.
