Cherry-Lynne Hopley's work experience began in 2005 as a Learning Support Assistant at Dudley MBC, where they motivated students and tailored learning to meet their individual needs. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Devon County Council, effectively communicating between students, teachers, and parents. Cherry-Lynne then became a Tutor Assistant at Devon County Council from 2011 to 2013, motivating learners and delivering strategies to help them reach their goals. In 2013, Cherry-Lynne enrolled as a full-time MA student at the University of Plymouth, where they researched topics and displayed self-reliance in their work. Finally, since 2015, they have been a Program Lead at Exeter College, providing teaching, learning, and assessment for A-Level, International Baccalaureate, and AS Level programs, as well as leading and coordinating learning initiatives.

Cherry-Lynne Hopley obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from The Open University in the years 2006 to 2010. Cherry-Lynne then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the University of Plymouth from 2010 to 2012. Following that, they completed a Master of Arts (MA) in History at the University of Plymouth from 2013 to 2014. Later, they enrolled at the University of Plymouth for a postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE) specializing in History Teacher Education, which they received in the year 2016.

Additionally, in September 2020, Cherry-Lynne Hopley obtained the certification of Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert 2020-2021 from Microsoft.
