Andrew James Smith

Andrew James Smith, MA, ACC has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Andrew James is currently working at Expel as the Senior Director of EX Operations. Prior to this, they served as the Employee Experience Integrator at Expel.

Before joining Expel, Andrew worked at Marriott International for several years in different senior director roles. Andrew James was responsible for strategy and innovation in global operations, portfolio strategy for luxury brand operations, learning and development innovation in global human resources, talent management for luxury and lifestyle brands, and as a human resources business partner for global brand and marketing. Andrew James also held managerial positions in talent management analytics and solutions at Marriott.

In addition, Andrew worked as an Interim Human Resources Manager at Charleston Forge and as a Senior Admissions Counselor at Grove City College. Their work experience showcases their expertise in areas such as employee experience, strategy, innovation, talent management, and human resources.

Andrew James Smith, MA, ACC completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Grove City College in 2004. Andrew James then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Human Resources Management from Appalachian State University, graduating in 2008. In 2018, they attended Georgetown University and obtained an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching. Additionally, Andrew Smith has obtained the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coaching Federation in 2021.
