Alexia Zoumpoulaki serves as the Research & Innovation Manager and Applied AI Research Specialist at EXUS since January 2021, focusing on Horizon Projects such as S4AllCities. Concurrently, Alexia has been a Lecturer in Computer Science and Teaching & Research Staff at Cardiff University since May 2016, teaching Computational Thinking and engaging in research related to Machine Learning, HCI, and Human Factors. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral position as a Research Associate at CUBRIC, where Alexia led research for a DARPA project, and roles as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Kent, Software Engineer at Velti, and Research Assistant at the University of Piraeus. Alexia holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Kent, a Master's in Computational Intelligence, and degrees in Product and Systems Design Engineering and Information and Telecommunication Systems Engineering.
