Amelia Schilling

Amelia Schilling is an experienced professional in the medical device engineering field, currently serving as Manager of Device Engineering at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals since March 2021. Prior roles include Senior Design Engineer and Design Engineer at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals, as well as Medical Device Engineer at EdgeOne Medical, where design verification testing was executed for major pharmaceutical clients. Amelia co-founded a medtech startup during participation in the NUVention Entrepreneurial Program, creating a medication adherence device for glaucoma patients. In a capstone project, Amelia designed an active wearable splint for individuals with spasticity. Amelia holds a Master of Science in Bioengineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, alongside a certificate in Translational Biomedical Engineering. Amelia has also contributed as a student-athlete and representative in various leadership roles, emphasizing a commitment to both engineering and community service.
