Neil Glasson has extensive experience working in various roles related to technology, engineering, and research. Their most recent position was as the Chief Technology Officer at FABRUM, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Engineering Manager at FABRUM from 2022 to 2023. Before joining FABRUM, Neil worked at Callaghan Innovation for a significant period of time, starting in 2013, where they served as the Lead Research Engineer. In this role, they collaborated closely with clients to understand their technical challenges and develop solutions, with a particular focus on engineering design and additive manufacturing. Neil also has experience as a Senior Research Engineer at Industrial Research Ltd, where they worked on cryogenic refrigeration technologies. Additionally, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Mercer Stainless Ltd and as a Design Engineer at Moffat Limited, where they were responsible for value engineering and developing new product lines.
Neil Glasson attended the University of Canterbury from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Neil then pursued a postdoctoral position at the University of Melbourne from 1993 to 1994, specializing in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Canterbury from 1985 to 1987.
