J M Taslim Kabir has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2001, Kabir served as an Assistant Election Observer & Interpreter for the European Union. In 2003, they joined S@ifur's as a Coordinator for G.English and Business Development. Kabir then entered the Bangladesh Civil Service in 2006 as a BCS Education Cadre, ranking 1st in the 26th BCS. J M Taslim transitioned to the private sector in 2009, working as an Assistant Manager for Business Development at the Windmill Group. Kabir then moved to Dhaka Tobacco Industries (Akij Group) in 2011, where they held multiple roles including Head of Brand and Brand Manager. In 2016, Kabir became a Council Member at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) and later that year, joined Fair Group BD as the Head of Marketing. Most recently, Kabir became a Member of HBR Advisory Council at Harvard Business Review in 2020.
J M Taslim Kabir has a diverse education history. J M Taslim completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature from Khulna University in 2003. In 2006, they pursued a Masters of Development Studies degree from the University of Dhaka, specializing in Development Economics and Social Development. From 2007 to 2009, they attended the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) degree with a focus in Marketing.
In 2012, J M Taslim Kabir studied Law at the National University in Bangladesh and successfully completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2013. As part of their continuous learning, in 2018, they took a short course in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to their formal education, J M Taslim Kabir has also obtained several certifications. In November 2018, they completed certifications in Body Language for Leaders, Facebook Marketing: Advertising, and Top 5 Tips for YouTube Channel from LinkedIn. In October 2018, they also completed a certification titled Entrepreneurship 1: Developing the Opportunity from Coursera.
