Shiraz Ahmed has a diverse work experience, beginning in 1998 as an Assistant Manager in Audit & Assurance at EY. Shiraz then worked at Citi from 2002 to 2016, holding various roles including Head of FP&A & Strategic Analytics for the Pakistan Retail Bank, VP of Planning & Analysis for the UK Retail Bank, and VP of Planning & Strategy for EMEA Holdings. After Citi, Ahmed joined Fairstone Bank in 2017 as Deputy CFO, before being promoted to Chief Financial Officer and then Senior Vice President & Deputy CFO. Throughout their career, Ahmed has demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, cost management, and project management.
Shiraz Ahmed completed their education in the field of Accounting and Finance. Shiraz obtained a degree as a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan between 1996 and 2002. Additionally, they became a member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) from 1998 to 2001.
