Alexander Chemeris is the CTO and Founder of Fairwaves, which pioneered OpenRAN base stations, lowering the cost of mobile communication in rural areas. As the CEO and Founder, Alexander turned rural mobile coverage into a profitable business for mobile operators. Additionally, Alexander is the Co-founder of Neuron hackspace, promoting hacker culture in Moscow. In the past, Alexander worked as a Project Lead at YADRO, a Software Consultant/Engineer for ClockTamer project and OpenBTS project, a Software engineer at ZAO Vivoss, a PhD student at FGUP "Concern "Systemprom", and a Software Engineer at SIPez LLC. Alexander holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Math from National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
