Kathy Mosher has extensive work experience in the mental health field. Kathy currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Family Service & Guidance Center since March 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Director at Central Kansas Mental Health Center from July 2013 to March 2022. From July 2007 to June 2013, Kathy worked as a Team Leader at Family Service and Guidance Center. Before that, they held the position of Assistant Director of Mental Health at the State of Kansas from October 2005 to June 2007. Kathy's career in mental health began in August 1994 as the Coordinator of CBS Services at Four County Mental Health Center, which lasted until October 2005.

Kathy Mosher has a diverse education history. In 1988, they enrolled at Washburn University where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Kathy studied there until 1991. Following their undergraduate studies, from 1991 to 1993, Kathy attended The University of Kansas, where they furthered their education with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. After a significant gap in their education pursuit, Kathy returned to school in 2008, this time at Baker University. Over the course of two years, until 2010, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on business.

Family Service & Guidance Center

Family Service & Guidance Center (FSGC) is dedicated to meeting the unique mental health needs of children and families and providing training opportunities for behavioral health professionals. FSGC was established in 1904 to help Topeka flood victims. As the needs in our community have changed, so has our focus. Today, Family Service & Guidance Center’s experts work closely to provide carefully tailored direct clinical services, prevention education and outreach to nearly 12,000 children and teens living with anxiety, depression, ADHD and other mental health issues and their families from 38 Kansas counties each year. FSGC is a recognized leader in children's mental health, employing 260 staff members on a centralized three-building campus and a Crisis Resolution Program building. Family Service & Guidance Center offers a broad range of services, including outpatient therapy; child and adolescent psychiatry; an anxiety treatment program; a therapeutic preschool for children ages 2-6 with severe emotional and behavioral problems; the Youth Development Program for school-age children and teens; crisis services available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; Families Supporting Recovery for adolescents dealing with mental illness and substance use issues; community-based services, including case management; Transitions to Adulthood Program for young adults with mental illness; and the popular Happy Bear abuse prevention program.
