Kayleigh Waters is an Associate Editor at Fantagraphics Books since 2021, where collaboration on the layout of the illustration book “Living & Dying in America” involved digital touch-ups, fact-checking, and creating promotional content. As a Freelance Executive Artistic Assistant since November 2017, public relations and media outreach were key responsibilities, along with drafting engaging social media releases. Waters has been an Art Teacher at Manhattan Youth since September 2017, developing original lesson plans for diverse student age groups. As a Freelance Illustrator since 2011, the creation of traditional and digital artwork has been complemented by founding Rockbound Highland Home. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Curator at SVA Gallery (2018-2020) and working as a Substitute Teacher at West Point Middle School (2016-2017). Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts, along with coursework in portfolio development and cartooning.
