Maria C. Cuellar currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer and R&D Strategy advisor at Farmless since March 2022. In addition, Maria has been a Freelance Consultant at Track to Zero since April 2021, focusing on sustainability initiatives. Previous roles include Science and Technology Officer at Planet B.io from June 2021 to July 2023, where expertise supported startup growth and collaborations. Maria led projects as Group Lead and Senior Scientist at DSM Biotechnology Center and was an Assistant Professor in Bioprocess Engineering at Delft University of Technology, engaging in significant research in industrial biotechnology. Academic credentials include a Designer in Bioprocess Engineering and a Master in Biotechnology from Delft University of Technology, alongside a Food Engineering degree from Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano.

For too long, have we relied on vast tracts of land to grow our food. We've plowed and tilled the earth, destroyed the soil and torn up forests to make room for (animal) agriculture. This unchecked and unsustainable expansion of our food system has led to a devastating loss of biodiversity on our planet, with countless species facing extinction as a result of the destruction of their natural habitats. This ends now. Let's decouple food production from agricultural land and rewild back our planet.
