Anna Widepalm is an experienced professional with a focus on conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and international cooperation. Currently serving as Country Manager for Colombia at the Folke Bernadotte Academy since August 2015, Anna is responsible for leading strategic initiatives related to women, peace and security, and organizational development. Prior to this role, Anna held various leadership positions within FBA, including Head of Unit for Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, as well as serving as Deputy Director overseeing a department of approximately 40 staff. Anna's earlier experience includes a role as Program Officer, where cooperation with major international organizations was emphasized, and as Project Officer at the Swedish Red Cross, focusing on conflict management skills enhancement. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration and Economics from the University of Gothenburg and certifications in coaching.

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
