Helena Olsson Lignell is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles, currently serving in Kommunikations at Skatteverket since February 2023. Helena has been an Internationell valobservatör at FBA (Folke Bernadotteakademin) since March 2018 and a Frivillig kriskommunikatör at MSB (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap) since August 2021. Previous positions include Kommunikationschef at Brandskyddsföreningen from December 2021 to December 2022, and at Löf from March 2013 to December 2021. Before that, Helena held the same title for Företagarna from 2010 to March 2013 and for Business Sweden from 2002 to 2010, where additional roles included Pressansvarig and Area Manager Africa. Helena’s early career featured a role as Deskofficer at Regeringskansliet, Utrikesdepartementet in 2000 and as a Researcher at Veckans Affärer from 1993 to 1996. Educational credentials include a Master in Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a Bachelor in Business from Stockholm University.

FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)
The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
