Senior DDR Officer, Conflict Prevention at FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)

Peter Erhardy has extensive experience in conflict prevention, disarmament, and democratic governance. Currently, as a Senior DDR Officer at the Folke Bernadotte Academy since August 2022, Peter develops DDR interventions aligned with Sweden's regional development strategies for Africa and Mali. Previous roles include serving as a Return, Reintegration, and Recovery Expert for MONUSCO in the Democratic Republic of Congo and as a Long Term Election Observer with the OSCE and European Union in various countries. Peter’s career spans various capacities within international organizations, emphasizing electoral support, security monitoring, and governance consulting. Peter holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Sciences Po and a Bachelor's degree in History and Economics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.

FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE.
