Stephen L. Ruzow

Stephen Ruzow has extensive experience in leadership roles within the fashion industry and nonprofit sector. Currently, Stephen serves as Chairman Emeritus of the FDNY Foundation, a position held since January 2000. Previously, Stephen was President of Rachel Roy a division of the Jones Group from February 2008 to January 2011, and served as President of Calvin Klein Women's Sportswear from 2005 to 2007. In addition, Stephen played a pivotal role at Kellwood Company as President of Womenswear and Corporate EVP from 2000 to 2007. Early career achievements include serving as President and COO of Donna Karan International from 1989 to 1997. Stephen holds a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University, earned between 1961 and 1965.

The FDNY Foundation, established in 1981, is the official not-for-profit of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). Our mission is to promote fire and life safety education and help the FDNY better protect New York. The FDNY Foundation funds programs that advance the FDNY’s goals, which include maintaining operational excellence, reaching out to the community with an array of fire and life safety programs, and ensuring that our firefighters and EMS personnel have the best available training and equipment.
