Raja Swaminathan has extensive work experience in the shipping and maritime industry. Raja started their career in 2001 as a Manager in Dry Chartering and Freight Forwarding at TKM Global. In 2003, they joined MISC Berhad Official as a Commercial Manager and later moved to Ispat Industries Ltd in 2005, where they served as a Senior Manager in Ship Chartering. In 2007, Raja joined Fearnleys and held various roles including Ship Broker Sale and Purchase, Associate Director, and currently, they are the Director of Sale and Purchase.
Raja Swaminathan's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dr. M G R Engineering College in Chennai, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Following that, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping and Port Management from the Tamilnadu Institute of Industrial Engineering, graduating in 2001. Later, they became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in 2008.
