Brett Leatherman currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Cyber Division at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), a role held since May 2003, with various positions including Deputy Assistant Director for Cyber Operations and Supervisory Special Agent within the Dallas Cyber National Security team. Leatherman has extensive experience in managing outreach engagements with private sector partners to address cyber threats to the United States. In addition to FBI responsibilities, Leatherman is an Adjunct Professor of Cyber Operations at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service since January 2024. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity Risk Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Computer Information Systems from Cornerstone University.
