Chris Laws serves as the Assistant Director of the Administrative Services Division at the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation since May 2000, overseeing areas such as budgeting, career services, and criminal information management. Previously, Chris held the position of Assistant Special Agent In Charge, managing investigations and coordinating with various law enforcement agencies across 13 counties. Additionally, Chris has been a Law Enforcement Instructor at Wilkes Community College since November 2006, specializing in criminal investigations and interview techniques. Chris's career in law enforcement began at High Point Police Department as a Police Officer from December 1997 to May 2000. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a focus on Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration, both from Appalachian State University.
