Brendan Carr has extensive experience in telecommunications law, having served as a Commissioner and General Counsel at the Federal Communications Commission from August 2004 to September 2017. In this role, Brendan provided legal advisory services on wireless, public safety, and international matters, and advised the Commission on legal strategies regarding competition and spectrum policy. Prior to this, Brendan worked as an Attorney Advisor in the Office of General Counsel and as a Legal Intern at Wiley Rein LLP, where responsibilities included trial and appellate litigation for telecom clients and strategic legal counsel. Brendan also gained experience as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Dennis W. Shedd at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Brendan holds a BA in Government from Georgetown University and a JD with a Certificate in Communications Law from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
