Martin Baumbach

Martin Baumbach currently serves as the National DHIT 1 Branch Director at FEMA, responsible for coordinating temporary housing solutions for disaster survivors by collaborating with various stakeholders. Previously, Martin worked as a Plans and Operations Officer for NORAD & US Northern Command, where significant contributions included disaster response for Afghan refugees and various natural disasters, alongside advising healthcare coalition responses and project management. As a Faculty Lecturer for the Defense Health Agency, Martin educated military leaders on health system administration and problem-solving strategies. Martin's diverse experience spans leadership roles in healthcare and military operations, notably as Associate Director at US Naval Hospital Okinawa and Company Commander for the 3d Medical Battalion, showcasing a commitment to improving organizational efficiency and service delivery. Martin holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
