Mick Brierley is an experienced Geospatial Analyst currently working with FEMA in the Office of Response and Recovery since September 2013. Prior to this role, Mick served as a Technology Planner at the Maryland Emergency Management Agency from January 2007 to September 2013, overseeing the development of an online mapping application for emergency response, managing GIS staff, and acting as a point of contact for the Maryland Emergency Alert System. Previously, as a GIS Specialist at Towson University Center for GIS, Mick provided critical mapping support for emergency management and worked with local agencies to enhance decision-making. Mick began a career as a GIS Analyst at PBS&J from July 2001 to August 2005, contributing to flood mapping efforts for FEMA and managing digital flood data distribution. Mick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Shepherd University.
