Maryellen Thielen

Maryellen Thielen is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in marketing communications and public relations. Currently serving as a Marketing Communications Program Specialist at the Federal Reserve System since February 2018, Maryellen has been instrumental in developing strategies for key payment improvement initiatives and advancing Federal Reserve products. Previously, as Senior Industry Relations Representative, Maryellen focused on communication strategies for payments initiatives. In addition to roles at Forest Glen Communications LLC as President and NIRI-Chicago Chapter as VP-Communications, Maryellen held a significant position at Allstate as Senior Manager of Financial Communications, leading media relations and crisis management efforts. Maryellen's experience also includes a directorial role at Calamos Asset Management, where efforts in investor relations significantly enhanced analyst coverage. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in communications from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA from Northern Illinois University.
