Vijoy Basu

Vijoy Basu is a seasoned professional in data science and artificial intelligence, currently serving as the Global Director of Data Science & AI at Ferguson since July 2025. With a rich career spanning over two decades, Vijoy has held significant roles including SVP & Global Head of Enterprise Data & AI at Firstsource and Sr. Director of Global IT AI & Analytics at Cognizant. Vijoy is also a member of the Advisory Council for Harvard Business Review, contributing insights on data, analytics, and leadership. Previous experience includes key positions at GE, where Vijoy directed data and analytics for healthcare sectors, and involvement in the Analytics India Leaders Council. Vijoy holds a PGCPM from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from the University of Madras.
