Russell Paine

Rusty Paine, a graduate of the class of 1999, returned to Fessenden in 2013 as the FessendenDay Camp director. Later, in the fall of 2013, he began teaching English and Latin in the Upper School. He has worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for both The Fessenden Day Camp and the Cornerstone Aquatics Center in West Hartford, Connecticut. Rusty has spent time as a childcare provider and tutor for three children, ages 5—12 and has served as the assistant program manager for the Sports Club for Kids at the New York Sports Club in West Hartford, Connecticut. Rusty holds a degree in classics and ancient Mediterranean studies with a minor in religion from the University of Connecticut, where he was the recipient of the Allen M. Ward Prize in Ancient Greek.
