Raymond Liao

Raymond Liao is a seasoned professional in the field of venture capital and technology investment, currently serving as the Founding Managing Director of Samsung NEXT, where expertise in early-stage corporate venture capital for mobile, networks, and consumer electronics divisions is demonstrated. Notably, Raymond has facilitated several successful portfolio exits, including Leonardo and MosaicML. In addition to the role at Samsung NEXT, a wide range of investments has been made across various companies such as Field AI, CentML, and Stability AI, among others. Academic accomplishments include a Ph.D. from Columbia Engineering and advanced degrees from the University of Toronto and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, complemented by internship experience at AT&T Labs in the UK.
