Patrick Curtin has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Patrick is currently working as the Director of Technical Sales at Field Effect since October 2021. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2021, they held multiple roles at Communications Security Establishment (CSE) | Centre de la sécurité des télécommunications (CST), including Director Advanced Capability Development Centre, Program Manager, SOC Manager, and Cyber Security Analyst & Team Lead Threat Hunting. Before joining CST, Patrick worked as a Product Manager at SiberCore Technologies from 2000 to 2005 and as a Sales Engineer & Manager Sales Engineering at Loran Technologies from 1998 to 2000. Their career started in 1987 at Canadian Armed Forces | Forces armées canadiennes where they served as a Communications Engineer, handling various operational and technical roles before becoming a J6 Ops planner. Patrick also served in the primary reserve for five years.
Patrick Curtin attended the University of Ottawa from 1986 to 1990, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Patrick then continued their studies at the University of Ottawa from 1994 to 1998 and obtained a Master of Applied Science degree in the same field. Patrick Curtin also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer from Professional Engineers Ontario.
