Adam Hime has extensive work experience in the entertainment industry, with a focus on business affairs and legal counsel. Adam is currently the Executive Vice President of Business Affairs and Deputy General Counsel at Fifth Season, where they lead the U.S. Studio TV team. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and Associate General Counsel at Fifth Season.
Adam has also worked in academic institutions, including the USC Gould School of Law and Carnegie Mellon University, where they taught courses on entertainment law and intellectual property.
Before their academic roles, Adam spent over a decade at ViacomCBS, starting as a Senior Counsel and working their way up to Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs. In this position, they collaborated with network executives, artists, agents, and producers in securing agreements for content development and distribution. Adam also provided legal advice and risk mitigation counseling, as well as leading in-house counsel on significant legal matters.
Adam began their career at Irell & Manella LLP, where they practiced as a litigator specializing in intellectual property, entertainment, new media, and commercial litigation. During their time there, they worked closely with media clients to resolve disputes and negotiate agreements.
Adam Hime completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from UCLA from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctorate from USC Gould School of Law and graduated in 2004. Adam specialized in Order of the Coif during their law school years.
