Denis Hains is the Founder, President, and CEO of H2i Inc., a consulting company that offers vision guidance and strategic advice. Denis also holds various pro bono appointments and contributions in organizations such as FIG, CIDCO.ca, GEBCO, IHO, and the University of New Hampshire. With previous experience in leadership roles at Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Natural Resources Canada, Denis has a background in geodesy and land surveying from Université Laval and Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy CNDF.

FIG is the premier international organization representing the interests of surveyors worldwide. It is a federation of the national member associations and covers the whole range of professional fields within the global surveying community. It is a UN-recognized non-government organization (NGO), representing more than 100 countries throughout the world.
