Carmel Fahy

Carmel Fahy, PMP has over 30 years of work experience in various project management and leadership roles. Carmel started their career at Cigna in 1989 as a Training and Quality Manager, where they stayed until 1997. Carmel then worked as a Training Manager at Oxford Health Plans from 1998 to 1999. In 2000, they joined Capita Asset Services as an Assistant Vice President, focusing on people, process, and technology. Carmel also served as a Technology Relationship Manager and Project Manager during their time at Capita. From 2004 to 2016, Fahy worked at FBD Insurance, taking on roles such as Business Test Manager, Product Delivery Lead, and Project Manager. During their time at FBD Insurance, they established the test function and implemented a test methodology and strategy, resulting in successful implementation and reduced instances of re-testing. Since 2016, Fahy has been working at FINEOS as a Product Owner.

Carmel Fahy, PMP, has a Master of Science degree in Cyberpsychology from the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Project Management from the National University Ireland - Limerick (Distance) from 2001 to 2003.

In terms of additional certifications, Carmel obtained SAFe 4.0 for Teams certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in April 2017. Carmel also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in January 2016. Additionally, they have a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification that was obtained in January 2015, although the institution granting this certification is not specified.
