Ricardo Caranova is a Project Development Manager at Finerge since July 2023, previously serving as a Senior Manager and head of the Geothermal Department at Gesto Energy Consulting from June 2008 to July 2023. In this role, Ricardo managed geothermal projects in Italy, focusing on geology analysis, resource analysis, project development, technical feasibility studies, and planning drilling activities. Additionally, consultancy work was conducted in renewable energy projects in Cape Verde and Mozambique, emphasizing resource analysis and project identification. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Tectonophysics and Experimental Tectonic from March 2000 to May 2008, and as a Professor at the Faculty of Sciences University of Lisbon in early 2000. Ricardo holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Structural Geology/Geology from the University of Lisbon and a degree in Geology from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.
