Dominic Byrne

Dominic Byrne currently serves as the Head of Digital Services at Fingal County Council since April 2024, after a role as the Local Government Digital & ICT Strategy Project Manager at the Local Government Management Agency from August 2022 to March 2024. Previously, Dominic held various positions at Fingal County Council from 1998 to August 2022, including Head of Digital Services and Head of I.T. with a focus on digital services and IT management. Earlier career experience includes an Assistant Head of I.T. position and a Systems Analyst role at Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and Dublin County Council, respectively. Dominic holds an MSc in Internet Systems and a BSc in Information Technology from Dublin City University, along with a Certificate in Local Government from the Institute of Public Administration and a Diploma in Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin.
