Thorsten Pfeiffer

Thorsten Pfeiffer is a seasoned risk management professional with extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as a Senior Risk Manager at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA since January 2019. Previously, Thorsten held the same position at FINMA from 2009 to 2017, where responsibilities included valuation, risk assessment of insurance groups, and the development of standard models. Thorsten also served as the Head of the Actuarial Office, leading a team of actuaries and contributing significantly to the development of Switzerland's Swiss Solvency Test (SST), which received recognition as a state-of-the-art solvency system.
