Maris Kaneps has held various roles in the IT industry. Maris started their career as an IT Project Manager at the Motor Insurers' Bureau of Latvia in 2004 and held this role until 2008. Maris then joined MTG CAPITAL MANAGEMENT in 2009 and became the Head of IT, a position they held until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Maris worked at Globitex - Global Bitcoin Exchange as the Head of IT. Currently, they are the Head of IT at Fintelum, a position they have held since 2018.
From 2002 to 2004, Maris Kaneps attended Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) where they earned a Master Degree of Engineering Sciences in Computer Systems with a specialization in Information Technology.
