Umaid Imamuddin

Umaid Imamuddin is an aerospace engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin, expected to graduate in December 2024. Currently, Umaid serves as a Raptor Build Reliability Engineering Intern at SpaceX and as a Materials and Processes Engineering Intern at Firefly Aerospace, where responsibilities include improving test stand designs and executing materials testing. Additionally, Umaid works as a Thrust Vector Control Design Engineer for the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, developing a thrust vector control system for a liquid bipropellant rocket. As the Launch Vehicle Team Lead for the Longhorn Rocketry Association, Umaid leads a team in designing and fabricating a high-powered sounding rocket. Previous experience includes a role as a Teaching Artist at FotoFest, providing photography education to students and professionals.
