Christopher Newsome

Christopher Newsome has extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry, currently serving as VP/Commercial Lender at First Bank and Trust Company since July 2016, where prior roles included AVP - Branch Manager and Commercial Loan Officer. Before joining First Bank and Trust Company, Christopher worked as a Financial Services Advisor at Union Bankshares Corp. and held various positions at American National Bank and Trust, which included customer service responsibilities. Additional experience includes a temporary role at Mail America and volunteer work at Timberlake Christian Schools, where tutoring and administrative support were provided. Christopher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Liberty University and enhanced banking knowledge through participation in the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management.
