Richard Slaney is an experienced procurement professional currently serving as Head of Procurement at First Bus since October 2020. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of Head of Procurement & Supply Chain at BOMBARDIER from August 2013 to September 2020 and at Mansell (Balfour Beatty Construction Services UK) from April 2010 to July 2013, where responsibilities included operational control of direct material procurement. Richard also served as Director at Pilgrim Group Ltd from 2004 to April 2010, focusing on business systems and client management. Earlier in the career, Richard was a Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing Manager at Rolls-Royce from 1997 to 2004, where key contributions included developing supply chain design and managing supplier development initiatives. Richard holds an MCIPS in Procurement from University of Staffordshire, completed between 2000 and 2002.
