Darren Goucher, MBCS, CSPO, currently serves as Digital Lead in Payments, Security, and Fraud, and previously held roles as Senior Digital Product Manager and Interim Head of Digital Servicing at first direct since February 2019. With over 19 years of experience at HSBC, Darren served as Senior Digital Innovation Manager, leading engagements with FinTechs and overseeing multiple proof of concepts and pilots. Other roles included Innovation Analyst, Mobile Technologies Specialist, and Innovation Technician, focusing on emerging technology and mobile platforms. Additionally, Darren contributed as a Senior Programmer in Business Intelligence at Tech Nation and participated in the Fintech Delivery Panel Standards Working Group. Darren holds a BEng in Software Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
