Neil Smith is an experienced executive in human resources and operations, currently serving as Chief People Officer and Head of People and Strategy at First Focus since June 2018. In this role, Neil is responsible for talent acquisition, development, retention, capacity management, and strategic partnerships. Previously, Neil held the position of Head of Service Delivery at Leap Consulting from January 2011 to May 2018, where responsibilities included new business development, account management, service delivery, and operations, with a focus on establishing a profitable consultancy model. Neil's earlier experience includes roles as Client Service Director and Operations Director at Netsurit, emphasizing client retention, sales, and operational efficiency. Neil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, completed between 1988 and 1993.
