Doris Portis has over 37 years of work experience in human resources. Doris is currently the Director of Human Resources at First Independence Bank. Previously, they worked at Advantage Living Centers where they served as the Corporate Director of Human Resources from 2019 to 2022 and as a Corp. HR Manager from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, Doris worked at Detroit Medical Center as a Senior HR Business Consultant from 2007 to 2018. Doris also worked at St. John Providence Health System as a Human Resources Representative from 1998 to 2007 and at Carlyle Center for Mental Health as a Human Resources Supervisor from 1985 to 1998.

Doris Portis, MSA, MS has a diverse education history. Doris obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management from Davenport University's Detroit College of Business. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Capella University. Additionally, they also hold a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Leadership from Central Michigan University.

By use of the Certification Mark, Licensee agrees to the following terms: Licensee acknowledges that CFE owns the entire right, title and interest to the Certification Mark. CFE hereby grants to Licensee a non-exclusive, non-assignable, non-sublicensable license to use the Certification Mark in association with the provision of the First Choice Checking account (the "Account") to the public. The term of this license shall commence on the date the Account was certified as meeting the Standards and shall terminate on the last day of the latest calendar year displayed on the Certification Mark. Licensee is not entitled to use the Certification Mark other than under the terms of this license. Licensee acknowledges that license rights to use this Certification Mark are contingent upon the Account’s continued compliance with the terms upon which certification was determined and granted.
