First National Bank of Muscatine was founded in 1870, just five years after the end of the Civil War, as a private banking business under the name Silverman, Cook & Company.  Always a strong bank, we did not liquidate during the stock market crash in 1929.  First National Bank of Muscatine has four locations in Muscatine, two with extended hours on weekends and holidays.
